ABOUT MOTHERSHIP PRODUCTIONS

MotherShip Productions, Inc. is an artist development and management agency with the express purpose of developing new musical artists, who can then be presented to major record labels, booking agencies, and concert promoters, after being put through MSP'S artist development protocol. This protocol will result in both an audio & video product that is ready, as is, to be picked up and marketed by the major industry players. It will also result in an artist that has been groomed, and is ready and able to successfully perform in those major record label arenas.

THE COMPANY

MotherShip Productions, Inc. is a privately held company in the entertainment industry that was started by Harold Collum, Jr., a lifelong resident of Dallas, Texas. Careful consideration has gone into assembling a team of principal players who are all experienced, respected people in their various fields of expertise. It has been said many times before, "It is not what you know, but who you know" that determines success. Yet in the fast-paced and high-stakes entertainment industry, who you know, and more importantly, who knows you, is usually the result of what you know, and the successes that you have experienced.


ARTIST DEVELOPMENT

MotherShip Productions' approach to Artist Development has become a lost art form in recent years. We personally work with artists through every phase of their career, from creating/producing the right demo to the best recording/publishing deal. Our "Artist Centered" approach is well known and respected throughout the music industry.

We often begin with an initial consultation, which seeks to provide an overview of the Artist's current situation, including any agreements entered into, an examination of various topics such as music publishing, distribution, management, production agreements, and any other topic you may have questions about. The purpose of this consultation is to help the artist better prepare for success in the music business.
We advise and/or negotiate any agreements artists are offered including indie or major label recording contracts, studio spec agreements, investor packages, intra-band agreements, agency agreements, publishing, distribution, management, producer, and endorsement contracts.
We also perform the following services:

• Demo/Master "deal" shopping/licensing to all major, indie and foreign labels
• Song/Master "deal" shopping to major, indie and foreign film music directors and Publishers
  
• Arrange "gigs" and/or showcases for A&R representatives and/or Publishing Companies; and
  
• Provide substantial networking with music industry professionals (i.e. producers, engineers, agents, other musicians, etc.).
